WELCOME TO SNMS 2021
The global demand for fresh and potable water will continue to increase for the foreseeable future because of the effects of climate change, in addition to population growth and increased industrialization. Viable strategies to increase the supply of useable water include desalination and water reuse. Membrane technologies can address both of these strategies to increase the amount of water for drinking, industry, and agriculture starting from both salty water and waste water.
Thus, effort have to be conducted, by stakeholders, to improve the efficiency of technologies dedicated for these goals, including, in particular, researchers, membranes producers and users.
After the success of the first edition of International Symposium on Nanomaterials and Membrane Science for Water, Energy and Environment organized on October 2018 in Marrakech, the Moroccan Membrane and Desalination Society (SMMD) organize a second edition of the symposium, SNMS2021, on Desalination and water Reuse face to water scarcity.
The symposium aims to bring together academics, researchers and stakeholders from all active sectors in the fields of nanomaterials and membrane science.
During two days of the symposium will focus on recent developments in nanomaterials and membrane technologies, and related applications. Among the most interesting applications of these nanomaterials, the development or modification of membranes used in different separation applications give great opportunities to meet ever stricter regulatory and efficiency requirements.
The symposium aims to bring together academics, researchers and stakeholders from all active sectors in the fields of nanomaterials and membrane science.
